President
Serving as
President, Vic Russo brings more than 25 years of commercial real
estate experience to bear in the formation of Russo Commercial,
LLC. Mr. Russo has the overall responsibility to insure that his
client’s investment objectives are achieved in the most
expeditious manner possible. He recognizes that when it comes
to investment income, “sooner is better
than later”. His expertise is in the exclusive representation
of both institutional and entrepreneurial commercial real estate
property owners, corporate users and sublessor’s. He is
well versed in the “added value” approach to leasing,
as evidenced by his successful development and implementation
of strategic marketing and leasing plans, over the years, in a
variety of market conditions. Mr. Russo has completed an
average of over 200,000 square feet of lease transactions consistently
for the past 5 years. He is the recipient of the 2005 “Power
Broker Award” by the CoStar
Group, Inc., for his achievement in 2004 as a Top 20 Broker in
Austin, which attests to his prominence in the commercial real
estate arena. Russo Commercial was named by
the Austin Business Journal (June 2006) as one of the Top Commercial
Real Estate Brokerage Firms in Austin and one
of the "Heavy Hitters" for Office/Landlord representation
based on transaction volume during 2005.
Prior to forming Russo Commercial, Vic was the Vice President
of Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc.’s Austin Leasing and
Management Group a position he held since 2001. While at Jones
Lang LaSalle, Vic was elected to the prestigious
Jones Lang LaSalle Club as one of the top producers in
the company. Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Vic held the
position of Senior Managing Director of Asset Services for eight
years, for CB Richard Ellis in Houston, Texas, where he directed
and coordinated the property management and leasing activity for
over 8 million s.f. of commercial property in Texas. While at
CB Richard Ellis, he received the Leadership
Award for Highest Level of Client Service
in the 19-office Central Division. He also served as the Regional
Manager of Management Services in Houston for Cushman & Wakefield
of Texas where he received the James P.
McGuire Award for
the most outstanding Regional
Manager in the nation. He was also Regional Manager for
Sam Zell’s Equity Office Properties, including overseeing
the one million s.f. San Felipe Plaza Office Building in Houston
that won the 1991 Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA)
Building of the Year Award, as well
as directing the acquisition, due diligence and leasing and management
of San Jacinto Center in Austin.
Mr. Russo attended Southwest Texas State University
where he majored in business administration with a concentration
in marketing. He has been a Certified Property Manager (CPM®)
since 1982 and served as the 1997 President
for the Houston Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management
(IREM) and was a member
of the Austin IREM Chapter Board of Directors. He also received
the designation of Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM)
in November 1996 from the Commercial Investment
Real Estate Institute and served on its Board
of Directors. Vic Russo is one of only a few real estate
professionals in the United States who holds both the designations
of Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), as well as Certified
Property Manager (CPM®). He served on the Board
of Director’s of the Downtown Austin Alliance (DAA)
and is currently an active member. He is a member of the Austin
Board of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, the Real
Estate Council of Austin, the Commercial Leasing Brokers Association
and Austin Chapters of the Institute of Real Estate Management
and CCIM. He was nominated for the Houston Association of Realtors
1996 Commercial Professional of the Year Award. He holds a current
Texas Real Estate Brokers license.
